Egghead combines the best of both structured and self-guided study by providing a bundle of bar review flashcards that can be tailored to your specific needs. The bundles currently available contain over 900 flashcards, covering all 14 UBE subjects. Cards may be reviewed by subject, shuffled across subject areas at random, or tested in challenge mode, which pulls only the cards recently missed across subject areas.

The cards are purposefully designed for memorization. The Egghead team understands that replicating the text-heavy information from the pre-packaged bar review outlines is not an effective retention strategy. Instead, they have designed the cards with brief prompts and answers to maximize recall of discrete pieces of information. That said, where contextualizing the answer is necessary, the cards have an expandable “Notes” section. Many of the cards have pre-programmed Notes. Similarly, many cards contain a “Hint” feature. Both Notes and Hints may be removed, edited, or annotated by you as desired. To maximize flexibility, you can also create your own cards, edit or annotate Egghead cards, and even create new decks for jurisdiction-specific subjects.

Because user experience is central to the app design, Egghead provides easy navigation from prompt to answer by tap, from card to card by tap, and to user-related options through the navigation bar. Furthermore, you can reorganize the cards within decks through drag and drop features and hide the cards that you’re most familiar with.

Your performance is seamlessly captured by tapping the “ex” or “check” icons on the answer side of the card. The tap to log performance also automatically takes you to the next card. If you do not wish to capture the performance on each card, you can toggle back to the prompt side by tapping the card a second time and using the directional arrows to move to the next prompt. However, to make the most of the interactive analytics, Egghead strongly encourages logging performance: first, performance enables the challenge mode feature, which allows you to focus your drilling on cards recently missed. Second, performance enables you to accurately track your improvement over time. It is the best way to assess where you are and where you need to be by exam day.
